Ilisys runs two different types of web servers.
One type is based on the Linux operating system that uses the Apache web serving software. It allows the use of MySQL database and programming complex websites in language such as PHP and Perl.
Ilisys Linux servers are all clustered, meaning each website is hosted on many servers at once. This system structure also means:
- Your site will stay online if hardware fails.
- Your site will not be affected by extreme server load.
- We are able to perform regular security upgrades to our servers without affecting your website.

The other type is Microsoft Windows 2000 based web server, which runs the IIS web serving software. It allows the use of Microsoft Access and Microsoft SQL Server, and programming in ASP and .NET. For more information, see .Net Hosting.
